NAVAJO NAP LOGS IN NATURE
Navajo Nap Logs in Nature is a series comprised of site-specific installations at national parks across North America. The series uses humor to comment on consumerism and cultural appropriation. Native American imagery is presented as it has been copied, mass-produced and repackaged for non-Native Americans as Southwestern kitsch. The final product acts as interactive sculpture and as a vehicle for performance, straddling the comical and the critical and provoking an examination of contemporary American culture.
